Abstract:
In order to solve the problems of large volume of large coal pile, difficult implementation of traditional manual measurement, and the need for multiple software joint programming, poor interactivity, long time consumption, and poor compatibility of existing volume measurement methods, a large coal pile volume calculation system based on virtual instrument technology is developed. This system adopts LabVIEW programming environment to conduct statistical filtering pre-processing on the collected coal pile point cloud data at first, and remove outlier noise points that cannot accurately reflect feature information; Secondly, conduct bitonic and spline interpolation operation on the pre-processed point cloud data to redraw a complete and concise coal pile point cloud map, surface chart, and top view; Finally, utilize the regular grid method to calculate the volume. This system has stable and reliable calculation accuracy, the experimental data shows that the relative errors of 29 sets of data are controlled within 6%, which is suitable for large coal pile volume measurement.
