Abstract:
In order to study the control action of sedimentary environment on coal seam accumulation, taking Zhongjin mining area as the research object, works of field geological surveys, data organization, and sample testing and analysis are carried out. By sorting out the lithological combination, sedimentary construction, coal quality changes, and coal seam occurrence characteristics, the forming and influencing factors of the mining area sedimentary environment on coal seams are studied, its sedimentary system type and sedimentary facies are analyzed, and the key controlling factors of coal accumulation action are clarified. The research shows that the coal bearing strata in the area are the Longtan Formation of the Upper Permian System, with a thickness of coal measure strata of 105.03-208.07 m, and a number of coal-bearing seams of 8 to 19, including 9 minable coal seams. The sedimentary environment is a transitional interaction facies between land and sea, barrier islands are formed by seawater intrusion in the Late Permian under the low-energy environment and tidal action, followed by the formation of semi-enclosed lagoon environment. Through analysis, the coal forming environment in the mining area is a sub facies of the supratidal zone in the lagoon - tidal flat sedimentary system. The research results establish the relationship between sedimentary environment and coal accumulation action, and provide theoretical basis for subsequent coal resource exploration.
