Stability Analysis and Evaluation of Roadway Surrounding Rock in Turquoise Mine and Research on Protective Measures

  • In order to achieve safe development of abandoned mining roadways, a study is conducted on the abandoned turquoise mining roadways of Wang Zhejian-Qin Zhenggui. Qualitative identification of rock structural planes and unfavorable geological bodies is carried out using engineering geological surveying, and the surface rock strength of the roadways is quantitatively evaluated by combining rock rebound tests. The stability of the surrounding rock of the roadways is evaluated through mutual verification of the results of the two methods. The results indicate that the stability of the surrounding rock in the roadway is significantly affected by geological structures. Based on comprehensive analysis of surveying and rebound values, the surrounding rock is classified as mainly Class IV and V with poor stability; Among them, the stability of the surrounding rock is the worst in the 95-184 m section and the 250-335 m fault fracture zone. A differentiated protection scheme including anchor mesh support, spray anchor mesh support, and steel arch joint support is proposed for different risk levels. The conclusion confirms that after implementing corresponding engineering measures, the roadway can meet the safety requirements of tourism development. The stability analysis method of surrounding rock demonstrated in the research has important reference significance for the resource utilization of similar abandoned underground spaces.
